Luna door naar finale in Servië

Weer een daverende verrassing in Servië waar een damesteam actief is op de Nations Cup. Na twee verliespartijen gisteren, waarbij Kimberly Mulder van de Indiase topfavoriet Sonia met 5-0 verloor en Mira Massing helaas met 4-1 verloor van de Kroatische Ana Marija Milisic, was het vandaag de beurt aan Luna Beeloo die de Chinese Xiaoyu Wang 5-0 verslaat. Luna bokst maandag de finale tegen Azaliia Amineva uit Rusland. Over haar kwartfinale partij kreeg ze al een eervolle vermelding:

¨Netherlands’ Luna Beeloo competed only in her homeland in the recent one year and she is a newcomer in their national team. She is a talented youth girl at the light welterweight (64kg) but the Nations Women’s Cup is her first big international competition. The 16-year-old Dutch girl had a strong opponent Serbia’s EUBC European Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Nina Stajkovic and in spite of the previous chances, Beeloo eliminated the local favourite, joining to the last four.¨
